Bishop Professor Stephen Adegbite, Executive Secretary of the Nigerian Christian Pilgrim Commission (NCPC), has expressed strong optimism that Nigeria will experience peace, prosperity, and positive transformation in 2026.
In his New Year message, Adegbite stated that the nation is poised for a turnaround through divine intervention. According to him, Nigerians should remain hopeful, as the coming year holds great promise for national renewal.
“The Lord will do a new thing for Nigeria, and everyone will see it and rejoice,” he declared.
Peace as the Foundation for Progress
The NCPC boss emphasized that peace is fundamental to national development, noting that no country can achieve meaningful progress without stability and harmony. He explained that peace fosters unity, economic growth, and long-term national stability.
Adegbite added that peace is the pathway to prosperity, expressing confidence that Nigeria is positioned to move “forward ever, backward never.”
Support for Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda
Adegbite urged Nigerians to continue praying for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and his administration. He also called on citizens to support government policies and programmes, particularly the Renewed Hope Agenda, which he described as vital to the country’s transformation.
According to him, collective prayer, unity, and civic support are essential for achieving sustainable national development.
Pilgrims Offer Prayers for Nigeria
The NCPC Executive Secretary disclosed that the first batch of Christian pilgrims has departed for the Holy Land. He said the pilgrims are offering prayers for Nigeria’s peace, unity, and prosperity, reaffirming the commission’s commitment to the nation’s spiritual and social progress.
New Year Goodwill Message
Adegbite extended his New Year goodwill to President Tinubu, the Vice President, and the First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu. He also wished all Nigerians a peaceful, prosperous, and fulfilling New Year, expressing hope that 2026 will bring visible and positive change across the country.
