A woman who previously left Iran for the United States has shared her perspective following a recent military airstrike targeting key facilities in her home country.
The airstrike, reportedly conducted by the United States in coordination with Israel, was aimed at strategic military installations in Iran, including ballistic missile facilities and other defense infrastructure. According to reports circulating online, the operation resulted in the deaths of several high-ranking officials, among them Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ali Khamenei.
In the wake of these developments, the woman—identified on X (formerly Twitter) by the handle @hitsmemooneh—took to social media to address the situation and reflect on her personal journey. She revealed that she relocated from Iran to the United States several years ago and is currently pursuing a PhD in Engineering.
In her post, she expressed deep gratitude for the opportunities and freedoms she has experienced since moving to the United States. She described herself as “beyond grateful” for the environment that has allowed her to further her education and personal aspirations. Her message also conveyed appreciation for the support she has received, as well as optimism about the ideals of freedom that she believes many Iranians continue to seek.
