Bishop Obinim's Daughter, Angel, Surprises Congregation by Speaking Spanish at Church Service

Angel Obinim, the daughter of controversial Ghanaian pastor Bishop Daniel Obinim, recently captivated social media with a rare public appearance at her father’s church. During a December 31, 2025, event, Angel showcased her fluency in Spanish, which she had learned from her time abroad.

The event, a crossover service held at the Tema branch of Bishop Obinim’s International God’s Way Church, saw the entire Obinim family, including his wife Florence and their children, worshipping together with church members to ring in the new year.

In a video that has since gone viral, Angel was called onto the stage by her father, where she initially appeared shy. After Bishop Obinim prayed for a female church member and her daughter, he invited Angel to speak Spanish to the congregation. Earlier this year, the Obinim family returned to Ghana from Spain to celebrate Bishop Obinim’s birthday in August 2025. The family reunion, captured in viral videos, showed them joyfully bonding at the airport.

Angel’s appearance also comes amid her mother Florence Obinim’s own media attention. Recently, Florence sparked controversy after she posted a video on December 30, 2025, where she prayed for the downfall of critics who had accused her of undergoing cosmetic surgery. The video of Florence’s intense prayers stirred a heated debate on social media, with many questioning her actions, especially considering her position as the wife of a prominent pastor.
