Ghanaian musician Kelvyn Boy has sparked widespread conversation online after a video emerged showing him being physically carried onto a stage to perform, following an ankle injury he sustained in a recent car accident.
The incident, which occurred in late December 2025, left the singer unable to walk properly. As a result, members of his team had to lift and place him on a couch on stage before his performance. The widely shared TikTok video captured the moment as onlookers watched with concern.
Despite his condition, Kelvyn Boy made a determined effort to honour the performance booking. Shortly after being seated, he attempted to stand on his own. However, it became clear that he was still in significant pain, as he struggled to balance and limped heavily while trying to put weight on his injured leg.
The footage has generated mixed reactions on social media. While some fans applauded the artist’s resilience, dedication, and commitment to his craft, others expressed concern about his health and urged him to prioritise recovery over public appearances.
What Happened to Kelvyn Boy?
Kelvyn Boy narrowly escaped death in a serious accident in late December 2025. According to his account, the incident happened behind Centre Point Mall in Accra while he was walking near a sidewalk. A vehicle lost control while reversing and headed directly towards him.
The singer explained that two members of his crew quickly intervened, pulling him out of harm’s way just in time. Although his life was spared, he sustained a broken ankle, forcing him to miss several scheduled shows.
Following the accident, Kelvyn Boy expressed gratitude to God for his life and apologised to fans and promoters affected by his absence. He also stated his desire to continue performing, even if it meant doing so with the assistance of crutches.
While his recent stage appearance has drawn both praise and criticism, many fans continue to wish the musician a speedy and full recovery.
