Ghanaian forward André Ayew has officially parted ways with French Ligue 1 side Le Havre AC after an 18-month spell at the club.
The 35-year-old joined Le Havre in November 2023 as a free agent following his exit from Nottingham Forest. He quickly made an impact, playing a vital role in helping the club avoid relegation in his debut season.
Although his initial deal expired in mid-2024, Ayew returned for a second stint, signing a one-year contract on October 4, 2024, ahead of the 2024/25 campaign.
As the club prepares for the 2025/26 season, Le Havre paid tribute to the veteran striker:
“Thank you, André. A warrior on the pitch, Ayew embodied the spirit of HAC. He was a role model for the team and embraced the club, its supporters, and the city of Le Havre. We wish you all the best.”
Ayew leaves the club having made 49 appearances and netted nine goals.
A former Ghana national team captain and U-20 World Cup winner, Ayew is now a free agent. His career has spanned nine clubs across Europe and Asia, including stints at Olympique Marseille, Swansea City, West Ham, Fenerbahçe, Al-Sadd, and others.
With his departure, Ayew looks set to embark on a new chapter—potentially his tenth professional club in a storied career.
