The Kristo Asafo Mission of Ghana has officially announced the passing of its revered founder and leader, Apostle Dr. Kwadwo Safo Kantanka.
The news of his death was confirmed on the church’s official Facebook page earlier today, Sunday, September 14, 2025. A post shared by Asaase Radio read:

At the time of this report, the cause of death has not been publicly disclosed. Dr. Kwadwo Safo was not only the spiritual head of the Kristo Asafo Church but also the founder and CEO of Kantanka Automobile, a pioneering Ghanaian automotive manufacturing company known for promoting innovation and technological self-reliance in Africa.
Dr. Safo was widely respected as a spiritual leader, inventor, philanthropist, and industrialist. His contributions to Ghana's technological and spiritual landscape have left a lasting legacy.
