A/R: Two Dead, One in Critical Condition After Suspected Gang Clash

A violent confrontation in Mpasaaso Number 2, a community in the Ahafo Ano South West District of the Ashanti Region, has resulted in the deaths of two men believed to be involved in criminal activities, while a third is in critical condition.

Residents said they woke up on Friday to find the three men lying on the street, two of whom had already died. The cause of the incident remains unclear.

Speaking on the Ghanakoma Morning Show on Akoma 87.9 FM, the Youth Leader of Mpasaaso Number 2, Kojo Asare, confirmed that the deceased individuals were known within the community for engaging in violent acts.

“We received a distress call from some neighbours who had discovered the lifeless bodies. When I arrived at the scene, I saw two dead men with gunshot wounds and another struggling for his life,” he recounted.

One of the deceased, identified as Borga, was reportedly the leader of the group suspected of perpetrating violent activities in the area. According to Asare, Borga had suffered a gunshot wound to the head and appeared to have been attacked with a sharp object as well.

“The deceased was holding a gun, but he had also been butchered, with his wrists cut off,” Asare added.

Police have since secured the scene and launched an investigation into the incident.
