In a candid Instagram Live session, the Afrobeat sensation made it clear that he does not feel the need to have fans, and if someone is financially struggling, he is not interested in their follow.

Addressing his perspective on fandom, Burna Boy rhetorically asked, “Do I force anybody to be my fan?” emphasizing that support should be genuine and voluntary, rather than coerced.

This statement came shortly after an incident at the Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Denver, where Burna Boy walked offstage mid-performance after noticing a couple in the audience had fallen asleep. The moment underscored his belief that energy and loyalty are far more important to him than the sheer number of fans.
