A Celestial Church pastor has ignited widespread online debate after publicly criticizing top Nigerian clerics, including Pastor E.A. Adeboye, Pastor W.F. Kumuyi, and other prominent religious leaders, for their silence amid the country’s worsening insecurity.
In a passionate outburst, the pastor expressed frustration over the growing threats posed by bandits and Boko Haram, accusing influential pastors of failing to speak out and leaving citizens feeling abandoned in their time of crisis.
In a viral video shared on X (formerly Twitter) by @ChuksEricE, the pastor boldly addressed the two respected religious figures:
“Baba Adeboye, if bandits had kidnapped your child or your wife, you would have acted. Even Kumuyi, if one of your children had been abducted, you would have done something about it,” he stated.
He went on to challenge these influential religious leaders to use their platforms to hold the government accountable and advocate for the safety of ordinary Nigerians who are daily victims of abductions, attacks, and terror. The pastor's comments have sparked a heated discussion about the role of religious leaders in addressing national issues.
