Inflation Drops to 6.3% in November 2025 – Ghana Statistical Service

Ghana’s inflation rate has continued its steady decline, falling to 6.3% in November 2025, according to the latest Consumer Price Index (CPI) report released by the Ghana Statistical Service (GSS).

This marks the eleventh consecutive month of falling inflation, providing much-needed relief to households and businesses that have faced high prices in recent years.

At a press briefing in Accra, Government Statistician Dr. Alhassan Iddrisu attributed the decline to lower inflation in both food and non-food categories. Although prices increased slightly by 0.9% between October and November, the overall trend indicates a stabilizing economic environment.

Food inflation experienced one of the sharpest drops, falling to 6.6% from 9.5% in October. Non-food inflation also eased to 6.1% from 6.9%, while inflation in the services sector decreased to 3.8%.

Regionally, inflation rates varied, with the North East Region recording the highest rate at 12.3%, while the Savannah Region posted a near-zero rate.

Inflation for locally produced goods also declined to 6.8%, signaling positive trends for local manufacturers and farmers. Overall goods inflation slowed to 7.3%, down from the previous 9.3%.

These changes have prompted discussions on how businesses can capitalize on the improving economic climate. Dr. Iddrisu encouraged companies to take advantage of the situation responsibly. “This is a window of opportunity for businesses to invest in better processes and offer fairer prices to consumers,” he said.

With inflation continuing to trend downward, analysts remain optimistic that the coming months may see even greater stability, provided productivity and supply chains continue to improve.
