Nana Kwadwo Jantuah, the long-time host of Nhyira FM’s morning show, has announced his departure from the Multimedia Group after five years of service. In a heartfelt post on Facebook, Jantuah shared that he was leaving on good terms, with no ill will or hard feelings.
He explained that while management had hoped he would stay, he felt that his work at the station was complete and it was time to move on.
“After 5 years of hard work, controversies, misunderstandings, love, and hate, I’m finally closing this chapter at Multimedia (NHYIRA FM). I’m leaving with no qualms or hard feelings, by mutual agreement with management, who wished I would stay. However, my job there is done,” he wrote.
Jantuah took the opportunity to offer advice to young journalists, encouraging them to remain steadfast in their integrity and continue working hard, even when society may not immediately recognize their efforts. “Don’t give up. Society may not appreciate those who refuse to compromise, but God rewards good deeds,” he stated. He emphasized the importance of not accepting bribes and staying true to one’s values.
He also acknowledged his own mistakes, stating that he had hurt people and been hurt in return, but that he chose not to hold grudges. “I don’t envy others’ success; I focus on becoming what I want to be,” he added.
Reflecting on his time at Nhyira FM, Jantuah expressed his gratitude to the station's management for their support. He also reassured listeners that, while his hosting duties were coming to an end, he would continue mentoring his successors until the end of the year, helping them maintain the station's momentum.
“To young journalists, add value, prepare for opportunities, and keep your heart clean. You’ll succeed,” he concluded. “My work toward a better Ghana isn’t over. This is my last show as a host, and I will be on the other side until I say my final thank you on Christmas.”
