Ned Nwoko Warns US, UK Against Alleged Use of Family Issues in Asylum Claims

Senator Ned Nwoko has issued a stern warning to authorities in the United States and the United Kingdom regarding asylum applications linked to what he describes as fabricated narratives surrounding his family.

In an official statement released by his office, the senator expressed concern that efforts to create "artificial drama around a stable family structure" are being used to seek questionable advantages in foreign countries. He called on both governments to rely exclusively on verified facts rather than sensational social media content or unfounded claims.

The statement further outlined that such tactics are part of a larger trend where online controversies are being weaponized to mislead authorities and manipulate public sympathy. The senator cautioned that this practice could have dangerous long-term consequences.

"Today, falsehoods may be used against one individual, but tomorrow, they could target anyone," the statement warned.

Nwoko reaffirmed his commitment to his legislative and development duties, emphasizing that he would not be distracted by online controversies. He urged Nigerians to disregard the circulating claims and allow the proper legal processes to take their course without undue influence.
