Portable Sparks Controversy After Demanding ₦10 Million to Appear on Carter Efe’s Livestream

Controversial Nigerian singer Habeeb Okikiola, popularly known as Portable, has stirred fresh controversy after demanding a ₦10 million appearance fee to feature on a livestream hosted by comedian and content creator Carter Efe.

The development came to light during a recent Instagram conversation between both entertainers. Carter Efe, who is known for hosting engaging livestream sessions, revealed that he had invited Portable to appear on his show. However, the singer reportedly declined unless his financial demand was met.

According to Carter Efe, Portable insisted that he does not make public appearances for free and must be adequately compensated before participating in the livestream. The singer emphasized his status in the entertainment industry, stating that his presence comes at a cost.

In a viral clip from their exchange, Portable made it clear that a ₦10 million payment was non-negotiable, urging Carter Efe to source the money from his fans or supporters if necessary. He maintained that he deserves to be paid, stressing that he considers himself a star who should not give out his “glory” without compensation.

The conversation has since generated mixed reactions online, with many social media users debating whether the demand was justified or excessive for a livestream appearance.

As of the time of reporting, it remains unclear whether Carter Efe intends to meet Portable’s demands or pursue the livestream without him.
