He also spoke candidly about the financial difficulties caused by his health issues, noting that he has become bankrupt and lost financial support from family members, who have expressed frustration over the burden of his medical care. Young Don appealed to Ghanaians for financial assistance to support his recovery.

During a TikTok live session on December 2, 2025, Young Don expressed regret for past remarks made against Otumfuo Osei Tutu II and other public figures, including Ajagurajah. He asked Ghanaians to share his apology so that the Asantehene and others could see it.

He stated:

He further revealed that he is currently in Johannesburg, South Africa, seeking medical attention, as local doctors have been unable to diagnose his condition. Meanwhile, doctors in the United States have recommended surgery.
