Golf legend Tiger Woods is once again at the center of controversy after a dramatic car crash near his Florida home led to his arrest on charges of driving under the influence. The incident, which unfolded on a quiet residential road in Jupiter Island, has reignited concerns about the 15-time major champion’s personal struggles and uncertain future in the sport.
According to local authorities, Woods, now 50, was behind the wheel of his vehicle when the crash occurred. What began as a routine drive quickly escalated into a dangerous situation when he attempted to overtake a truck on a narrow two-lane road. In the process, his vehicle clipped the other car, causing it to lose control, flip onto its side, and slide across the roadway before finally coming to a stop.

Investigators also revealed that Woods’ vehicle traveled a considerable distance after flipping, indicating that he may have been driving at a high speed at the time of the incident. The driver of the truck reportedly slowed down to make a turn and attempted to move aside when he noticed Woods approaching rapidly from behind.
In the chaotic aftermath of the crash, Woods reportedly exited his vehicle by climbing out through the passenger-side window—a detail that highlights the severity of the rollover.
