Popular Nigerian content creator and streamer, Peller, recently expressed his disappointment after being snubbed by Boluwatife Balogun, the first son of music superstar Wizkid.
During a live session with his streaming partner, Jarvis, Peller revealed that he had sent a direct message to Boluwatife, asking the teenager to help him connect with his father, Wizkid, for a possible collaboration or interaction. However, his message went unanswered.
“I went to Wizkid’s son’s page and messaged him, asking if he could talk to his dad on my behalf about a potential link-up,” Peller said during the stream. “But the boy didn’t even acknowledge the message.”
The streamer also added that he wasn’t only seeking professional engagement but genuinely wanted to be friends with Boluwatife.
The incident sparked reactions on social media, with users divided over the situation:
- @YKoluwaseun9 commented: “Peller wants to use Bolu to reach Wizkid, but the boy has more pride than his father. He ignored the 001 of TikTok!”
- @azdevgod defended Peller, saying, “Just because his father is a superstar doesn’t mean he has to be arrogant. Peller worked his way up and deserves respect. One day, they might need him too.”
- @Cleverlydey4u added humorously, “He completely aired Peller!”
- @hyperopique criticized the public discourse: “Adults discussing a child like this? Come on.”
While Peller’s outreach may not have gone as planned, the buzz it generated suggests he remains a relevant and talked-about figure in the digital entertainment space. Whether this snub was intentional or simply a missed message, it’s clear the conversation around influencer-celebrity interactions isn’t going away anytime soon.
