Nigerian music heavyweight Davido has reached a remarkable new milestone as his fifth studio album, 5ive, debuted at No. 1 on the UK Spotify album chart.

This achievement signals a major leap in Davido’s global reach, further solidifying his status as one of Afrobeats’ most influential international ambassadors.

Released on April 18, 2025, 5ive has already made a significant impact in Nigeria, earning the second-highest first-week streaming numbers for any album on Spotify Nigeria. Its chart-topping debut in the UK adds another impressive chapter to Davido’s growing list of global accolades.

A standout from the album is the track Offa Me, a steamy collaboration with American R&B sensation and three-time Grammy winner Victoria Monét. The track has quickly captured listeners’ attention with its seamless blend of Monét’s smooth, sultry vocals and Davido’s infectious Afrobeats rhythm.
