Ghanaian highlife musician Bisa Kdei, known for hits like "Mansa", has found himself at the center of a heated social media exchange after a fan made a derogatory comment about his appearance.
In a screenshot obtained by GhPage, a fan with the username “Vawulence_01” mocked the singer on X (formerly Twitter), using an Akan insult that implied the artist had an eye condition. The fan referred to Bisa Kdei as “Alukumi”, a local term often used to insult someone’s physical features — in this case, his eyes.
Unwilling to ignore the jab, Bisa Kdei responded harshly. In his comeback, he targeted the fan’s parents, saying:
“Aluku wo nni ne wo se,”
which loosely translates to, "It is your parents who have eye problems."
The comment sparked a wave of reactions online, with opinions split between those who believed Bisa Kdei should have ignored the fan and others who supported his decision to defend himself.
This incident adds to a growing trend of celebrities reacting directly to online criticism, raising questions about the boundaries of public engagement and the emotional toll of cyberbullying.
