Employee Crushed to Death in Excavator Accident at Zonda Office in Ejisu-Kumasi

 

A fatal workplace accident occurred at the Zonda office in Ejisu-Kumasi, leading to the tragic death of a Ghanaian employee.

According to eyewitness accounts and video evidence, the incident took place during the loading of an excavator onto a lowbed trailer. A Chinese supervisor, who was operating the machine, reportedly caused the accident when the boom of the excavator struck the trailer, forcing the lowbed to move unexpectedly.

The victim, who was directing the loading process, attempted to escape but was unfortunately caught and crushed by the moving equipment.

In the video footage shared online, bystanders can be heard alleging that the Chinese operator was intoxicated at the time. However, this claim has not yet been verified by the appropriate authorities.

The incident has sparked concern among the public and calls for an investigation into workplace safety standards at the company.
