Faustina Fosu, the biological sister of legendary Ghanaian highlife musician Daddy Lumba, has broken her silence following the death of her brother. In an emotional interview with GHPage’s Abuburo Kosua, Faustina opened up about the immense pain and grief she has been experiencing since his passing.
Confirming her identity and close relationship with the late musician, Faustina recalled being referenced in his popular song “Makra Mo”, a gesture she says reflected the strong bond they shared. “I haven’t been able to sleep since he passed. A part of me is gone,” she said tearfully.
Faustina revealed how deeply she relied on her brother, both emotionally and financially. No matter the situation, she said, Daddy Lumba was always her first point of contact—and he never let her down.
Although she has another sister, Akosua Brempomaa, Faustina emphasized that it was Daddy Lumba who served as her anchor and greatest support. His death, she added, has left an irreplaceable emptiness in her life.
The news of Daddy Lumba’s passing has sent shockwaves across the country, affecting not just his family but also fans and admirers. Reports indicate that one devoted fan even died upon hearing the heartbreaking news.
Daddy Lumba, celebrated as one of Ghana’s most iconic and influential highlife artists, leaves behind a rich musical legacy—and a family still reeling from the loss.
