Akosua Serwaa, the wife of the late Ghanaian highlife icon Daddy Lumba, has reportedly arrived in Ghana from Germany to mourn her husband. The news was shared by BigScout Nana Prempeh via Facebook, stating that she landed in the country last night and is expected to visit Lumba’s residence later today.
Daddy Lumba, whose real name was Charles Kwadwo Fosu, was married to Akosua Serwaa in the early 1980s. The couple had four children together, including Calvin Fosu and Ama Serwaa.
Akosua Serwaa played a significant role in Daddy Lumba’s early career. She notably produced the Lumba Brothers’ debut studio album, *Yee Ye Aka Akwantuom*, in 1986. Although the album’s official release was delayed until 1989 due to financial constraints, it ultimately became a breakthrough success for the duo and laid the foundation for Daddy Lumba’s legendary music career.
As tributes continue to pour in from fans and industry colleagues, Akosua Serwaa’s arrival marks a poignant moment in the ongoing mourning and celebration of one of Ghana’s most influential musical figures.
