Mahama Fulfills Campaign Promise with Construction of 10 Fully-Furnished Church Buildings for Assemblies of God

President John Dramani Mahama has fulfilled a campaign promise made in November 2024 by constructing and commissioning ten fully-furnished church buildings for the Assemblies of God in northern Ghana.

This initiative, which was completed within six months, was confirmed by Fuseini Donkor during an interview on TV3’s New Day program, as monitored by MyNewsGh. According to Donkor, the pledge was made during a campaign stop in Navrongo, where Mr. Mahama assured the Assemblies of God Church that he would support their expansion efforts with modern infrastructure.

The ten churches are strategically located across the five regions in the northern part of Ghana. Each facility is equipped with residential accommodation for pastors, fully-fitted kitchens, and complete sets of musical instruments, providing not just a place of worship but also a functional living environment for church leaders and their families.

“This goes beyond constructing buildings,” Donkor stated. “Everything is ready— from instruments to kitchens—ensuring pastors and their families can settle in immediately without any additional burden.”

The Assemblies of God denomination will manage and operate these new branches, which are expected to serve both spiritual and community development purposes.
