Dr. Zanetor Agyeman-Rawlings, Member of Parliament for Klottey-Korle, has expressed deep sorrow and outrage over the tragic stabbing incident that led to the death of a student at Kinbu Senior High School on July 31, 2025.
In an official statement released on August 1, Dr. Agyeman-Rawlings described the incident as both "senseless" and "deeply tragic," emphasizing the urgent need to address safety within educational institutions.
“I am deeply shocked and saddened by the tragic incident that occurred yesterday, which resulted in the fatal and senseless stabbing and loss of a young student,” the MP stated.
She pledged full cooperation with the Ghana Police Service and relevant authorities to ensure a thorough investigation and swift justice. “Violence has no place in our schools. Our children must feel safe in their learning environments,” she added.
Calling the incident a wake-up call, Dr. Agyeman-Rawlings urged all stakeholders—particularly those in education and security—to reevaluate and strengthen existing safety protocols in schools to prevent such tragedies from recurring.
“My thoughts are with the bereaved family, the students, faculty, and the entire Kinbu SHS community during this difficult period of grief,” she said.
She concluded by reaffirming her commitment to enhancing school safety and mental health support across her constituency.
