Shatta Wale Allegedly Asked EOCO to Keep Lamborghini Seizure Quiet to Protect His Image

The Economic and Organized Crime Office (EOCO) has confirmed the seizure of a 2019 Lamborghini Urus from Ghanaian dancehall star Shatta Wale. According to an official statement, the vehicle was confiscated by the Surveillance and Asset Recovery Unit (SARU) as part of an investigation into assets tied to criminal activity.

EOCO stated that the Lamborghini is linked to Nana Kwabena Amuah, who is currently serving an 86-month prison sentence in the United States for financial crimes. The car was reportedly in the possession of Shatta Wale, born Charles Nii Armah Mensah Jr.

“The operation was conducted professionally and without incident,” EOCO noted, adding that officers handled the search and seizure at the artist’s residence respectfully.

Sources claim Shatta Wale privately urged EOCO officials not to publicize the incident, fearing it could severely damage his public image. Known for his flashy persona and luxury vehicles, the artist reportedly expressed concern that being seen with EOCO during the seizure would harm his brand.

As of now, Shatta Wale has not issued a public statement regarding the matter.
