Two members of the Seventh-day Adventist (SDA) Church have lost their lives in a fatal road accident in the Bechem District of Ghana’s Ahafo Region. The tragic incident occurred on Sunday, August 10, 2025, as church members were returning home from a camp meeting.
According to eyewitness reports, the accident was triggered by a burst tire, causing the driver of the minibus to lose control. The vehicle reportedly veered off the road and crashed, killing two passengers on the spot.
Footage captured from the accident scene shows a severely damaged minibus, with personal belongings of passengers strewn across the crash site. Several other occupants of the vehicle are believed to have sustained varying degrees of injuries and are currently receiving medical treatment.
As of now, local authorities have not issued an official statement. However, the bodies of the deceased have been transported to a nearby morgue for preservation and autopsy.
This devastating event has sent shockwaves through the community, particularly among the SDA congregation in Bechem, who are mourning the sudden and painful loss of their member.
