Tragic Motorbike Collision Claims Three Lives in Manso Watreso

Three individuals have tragically lost their lives following a fatal motorbike collision at Manso Watreso in the Amansie South District of the Ashanti Region.

The accident occurred on Monday, August 5, 2025, when two speeding motorbikes collided head-on. One bike was carrying two riders, while the other had a single occupant. The impact of the collision caused both motorbikes to erupt in flames.

Eyewitnesses reported that nearby residents made desperate attempts to extinguish the fire and rescue the victims, but their efforts were unsuccessful. Emergency personnel from the Ghana National Fire Service and the Ghana Police Service later arrived at the scene and managed to bring the fire under control.

According to Kofi Mensah, the Assembly Member for the Manso Watreso Electoral Area, one person died instantly, while the other two victims, who sustained severe burns, were transported to the hospital but later succumbed to their injuries.

Preliminary investigations suggest that one of the motorbikes was carrying fuel, which is believed to have ignited upon impact, resulting in the deadly blaze.

The identities of the deceased have not yet been confirmed, as investigations by the police are ongoing. The charred remains of the victims have been deposited at the St. Martin’s Hospital morgue in Agroyesum.
