Authorities in Nairobi, Kenya, have launched an investigation into the unexplained death of 35-year-old Farhia Ahmed, whose lifeless body was found at a guest house in Mukuru Fuata Nyayo. The victim was discovered with severe head injuries, leading police to treat the case as a homicide.
According to a police report filed at the Mariguini Police Post (OB 11/01/09/2025), Farhia checked into the guest house on the evening of Sunday, August 31, accompanied by a man identified as Chelsea Mwangi, also known as Mcheche. Joyce Wangari Wachera, the owner of the guest house, informed the police that Mwangi had paid KSh 400 (approximately GHS 36) for the room before heading to Room 1 on the first floor with Farhia.
On the morning of Monday, September 1, Rebecca Moraa, the caretaker, noticed that the door to the room was partially open. Upon investigating, she discovered Farhia lying motionless on the bed, with blood visible around her mouth and nose. Police officers who arrived at the scene confirmed that the woman had suffered visible injuries to the back of her head.
Mwangi, the man Farhia had checked in with, was reportedly missing by the time authorities arrived, making him the prime suspect in the ongoing investigation.
The body of the deceased has been transferred to the morgue for further examination, while detectives intensify their efforts to locate Mwangi.
