Mr. Kwabena Acheampong, the father of the late Pascaline Acheampong, a student of Namong Senior High School in Offinso, has publicly addressed the heartbreaking circumstances surrounding his daughter’s untimely death.
In an exclusive interview with GhPage, Mr. Acheampong shared the events leading up to Pascaline’s passing. According to him, he became concerned when he hadn’t heard from his daughter and decided to contact her housemistress. He was informed that Pascaline had taken an exeat (permission to leave school), but she never returned home.
Worried, he filed a report with the police. Investigations revealed that Pascaline had been staying with a friend. Acting on this tip, law enforcement officials located the residence, leading to the arrest of some students involved in the matter.
Pascaline eventually returned home, but shortly afterward, she fell ill. She was diagnosed with malaria, and despite receiving medical attention, her condition deteriorated and she tragically passed away.
Mr. Acheampong firmly denied widespread rumors on social media suggesting that his daughter had poisoned herself following the arrest of her alleged boyfriend. He emphasized that her death was due to health complications and had no connection to the circulating speculations.
The incident has left the Acheampong family devastated, with the broader community also mourning the loss of the young student.
