Tourism and Creative Arts Minister has been very disappointing – Nana Romeo

 

Radio presenter Nana Romeo has voiced his disappointment with the performance of the Minister of Tourism, Creative Arts, and Culture under the current administration.

According to him, the Minister has fallen short of expectations, especially after the public support she received when appointed. Speaking on UTV, he criticized the recent presidential media encounter, stating it lacked diversity and meaningful participation from key industry stakeholders.

“What criteria was used in selecting journalists? Most appeared to be close allies or friends of the government. Where were the real voices from the creative industry?” he asked.

Romeo pointed out that only a few individuals, such as Abeiku Santana and KOD, are visibly working to support the sector. He criticized Rex Omar, the Minister, for failing to act on campaign promises.

“When they were in opposition, they promised a lot. Now in government, we’ve seen little to no action. Four years are almost up, and things remain the same,” he lamented.
