Fire Destroys Police Barracks, Leaving Four Officers Homeless

Four police officers have been left homeless after a fire swept through their living quarters last Thursday at the Jacobu police barracks in the Ashanti Region.

The blaze, which triggered panic among residents in the area, caused extensive damage to four rooms. Fortunately, no injuries or fatalities were reported.

The cause of the fire has not yet been confirmed, though eyewitnesses suspect an electrical fault. According to those present, thick smoke was first seen coming from one of the rooms around 12 p.m. Moments later, the smoke escalated into a fierce blaze that quickly spread to nearby rooms.

Firefighters were called to contain the situation, but by the time they arrived, the rooms had already been completely destroyed.

Authorities have launched an investigation to determine the exact cause of the fire.
