Amina Hassan has shared a heartbreaking account of how her husband, the vice principal of Government Girls’ Comprehensive Secondary School in Gada, Kebbi State, was killed by armed bandits. The attack occurred during the kidnapping of 25 schoolgirls from a nearby school.
The incident took place early on Monday, leaving families in deep fear as security agencies confirmed the abduction of the students.
**Police Confirm 25 Students Kidnapped**
The Kebbi Police Command reported that heavily armed attackers invaded the Government Girls’ Comprehensive Secondary School in Maga, Danko/Wasagu Local Government Area.
Police Public Relations Officer, CSP Nafi’u Abubakar Kotarkoshi, stated that one staff member was killed and another injured during the 4 a.m. attack.
**Bandits Scale Fence and Storm Hostel**
According to police reports, the bandits climbed the school fence, forced their way into the hostel, and engaged security personnel in a fierce gun battle.
The tragic attack has once again raised concerns about the safety of schools in the region and the increasing threat posed by armed gangs.
