The Eastern North Regional Police Command has arrested two individuals, Yaw Ntoso and Perpetual Ayitey, for allegedly possessing significant quantities of suspected narcotic drugs. The arrest occurred on November 13, 2025, at Amankwakrom along the Agordeke–Donkorkrom motor road.
According to preliminary police investigations, a snap check team intercepted a Kia Bongo truck driven by Yaw Ntoso during routine roadside checks. A thorough search of the vehicle uncovered three white sacks containing 135 compressed slabs of dried leaves believed to be cannabis sativa, all wrapped in yellow cellotape. Officers also found an additional 21 oval-shaped parcels containing similar substances.
Both suspects have been detained and are assisting police with ongoing investigations. They are expected to be arraigned before the court in the coming days.
