The Begoro District Police Command has launched a manhunt for a well-known guest house operator, popularly called “James Bond,” who is suspected of murdering his girlfriend at the BJ Tech Guest House in Ehiamankyene, located in the Fanteakwa South District.
The victim, widely known as Koryo, was a popular food vendor at the Ehiamankyene market. Sources indicate that she and the suspect shared a child, although they did not live together. Family members revealed that the relationship had been kept discreet, as they strongly disapproved of it.
The incident reportedly occurred on Wednesday, November 12, 2025, after the victim visited the suspect at his guest house and failed to return home. According to reports, her younger brother—suspecting she had gone to see her boyfriend—went to the guest house and, peering through a window, discovered her lying in a pool of blood.
He immediately informed their parents, after which officers from the Begoro Police Station arrived on Thursday evening, November 13, 2025, to recover the body. The remains have since been deposited at the Begoro Government Hospital morgue.
Tensions in the community escalated when angry residents set fire to an Apsonic GY9 motorbike belonging to the suspect and threatened to burn down the entire guest house.
The Deputy Director of NADMO in the Fanteakwa South District, John Kwame Narh, confirmed the incident and stated that the suspect is currently at large.
Meanwhile, police are urging the public to remain calm as investigations continue.
