Former Adenta MP Kojo Adu Asare Expresses Interest in Odo Broni After Widowhood Rites

Kojo Adu Asare, the former Member of Parliament for Adenta, has publicly shared his admiration for Odo Broni, the widow of the late highlife legend Daddy Lumba. Speaking in an interview on Asempa FM, Adu Asare expressed his interest in pursuing a relationship with Odo Broni once she completes her traditional widowhood rites.

Describing Odo Broni as "an exceptionally beautiful woman," the former MP emphasized that his admiration goes beyond her physical appearance. “I admire her especially for her calm and gentle nature," he remarked, underscoring that his interest is rooted in more than just attraction.

Adu Asare further explained that his intentions were based on companionship, support, and a commitment to preserving the legacy of Daddy Lumba. “I feel drawn to her and would like to pursue a meaningful relationship with her after the completion of her widowhood rites," he said.

The former MP clarified that his interest was not about starting a biological family but rather offering his help in raising Odo Broni’s six children and supporting her in maintaining Daddy Lumba’s legacy. "It's not about marrying her to have children together; I want to be a part of her family and help her," he added.

Kojo Adu Asare, who is currently unmarried, stated that he is open to marriage and would respect the cultural norms surrounding widowhood. He made it clear that any future steps would be taken only after Odo Broni completes her one-year traditional widowhood rites, following the passing of her late husband, Daddy Lumba.
