Lawyer Kusi, legal representative for Akosua Serwaa, has revealed that he and his wife have received several threats due to his involvement in the ongoing Akosua Serwaa–Odo Bronii legal dispute.
Speaking to the media following the arrival of Akosua Serwaa in Ghana, Lawyer Kusi disclosed that the pressure and intimidation at one point made him consider withdrawing from the case entirely. According to him, the situation escalated after he decided to file an appeal, a move that allegedly triggered a series of threats aimed at discouraging him from pursuing the matter further.
He explained that the threats were not directed at him alone, as his wife was also targeted. This development, he said, caused significant concern within his family. At a certain point, his wife advised him to step away from the case, reminding him that while seeking justice was important, his personal safety and life were equally vital.
Despite these challenges, Lawyer Kusi expressed his belief that the intimidation tactics are a sign of fear from the opposing side. He maintains that the other party is fully aware that if Akosua Serwaa continues to pursue the case, they are likely to lose in the end.
“After filing the appeal, I began receiving several threats. Even my wife was threatened, and because of that, she pressured me to drop the appeal,” he revealed.
Lawyer Kusi, however, remains resolute and insists that he is committed to ensuring that justice prevails, regardless of the intimidation surrounding the case.
