TBenjamin Kwadwo Boakye Anim, a distinguished representative of Mfantsipim School in the 2025 National Science and Maths Quiz (NSMQ), has gained admission to the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST).
The brilliant young scholar, who emerged as one of the standout performers and winner of the 2025 NSMQ, recorded an outstanding academic feat by obtaining eight As in the 2025 West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE). His academic excellence has earned him a place at KNUST, where he will pursue a degree in Mechanical Engineering.
According to information shared by @Thevokofficial on X (formerly Twitter), Benjamin’s admission makes him the seventh finalist from the 2025 NSMQ cohort to secure admission to KNUST, one of Ghana’s leading public universities located in Kumasi in the Ashanti Region.
Further details indicate that all three contestants from Opoku Ware School who participated in the 2025 NSMQ also gained admission to KNUST. Two of them will be studying Medicine, while the third will pursue Biomedical Engineering. Similarly, three contestants from St. Augustine’s College were admitted to KNUST, with one enrolling in Petroleum Engineering and the remaining two opting for Electrical Engineering.
Benjamin’s admission has generated significant reactions on social media, with many Ghanaians congratulating him and wishing him continued success in his academic journey. Some commenters praised KNUST as a preferred destination for top science students, while others debated his choice of programme, noting that he had previously expressed interest in studying Medicine.
