Ghanaian actress Nana Ama McBrown has publicly opened up about the end of her marriage to her former husband, Maxwell. Speaking candidly in an interview, McBrown revealed that she has no intentions of remarrying following the dissolution of her 12-year marriage.
According to McBrown, her decision to part ways with Maxwell was not due to any toxic conflict but rather a mutual feeling of exhaustion from the commitment of marriage. She explained, “We didn’t go through it like the bitter ones. I was tired, and he was tired, so I said, ‘Let’s go our separate ways.’ So, we have gone our separate ways.” She added that despite their separation, she and Maxwell maintain a good relationship.
McBrown clarified that, unlike many other divorces that involve animosity, hers was a peaceful and mutual decision. “I will not marry again,” she confirmed. “I married for twelve years, and I’ve seen all there is. I am the only one to marry and divorce this way.”
However, McBrown left the door open for reconciliation if Maxwell were to return and make amends. She stated, "If he comes back and does things right, we may end up together again. He is a correct guy, but I was tired."
The actress also shared advice for other women, emphasizing the importance of financial independence and self-reliance. “What I will want to tell other ladies is that work hard because if a man supports you…” she concluded.
