Notorious Ashaiman Armed Robber, Seth Tetteh, Arrested in Police Operation

 

A notorious armed robber from Ashaiman, identified as Seth Tetteh, also known by his alias ‘Wonder,’ has been apprehended in a well-coordinated police operation.

The 25-year-old suspect, believed to be the leader of a robbery syndicate operating across Ashaiman and its neighboring areas, was captured on Sunday, November 30, 2025, at approximately 3:00 p.m. near the Ashaiman China Mall.

The successful operation was a collaborative effort between the Atadeka Police Patrol Team and the Ashaiman Police Intelligence Directorate, following actionable intelligence.

Tetteh, known for his involvement in numerous violent crimes—including residential, street, and industrial robberies—has long been a target of law enforcement. His arrest is expected to have a significant impact on curbing criminal activities targeting both businesses and residents within the municipality.

Police investigations have revealed that Tetteh was the mastermind behind a recent armed robbery at a concrete yard factory. During the attack, he led a gang of two individuals on a motorbike, threatening the victims with firearms and stealing an undisclosed amount of money.

Tetteh’s arrest follows the earlier capture of his two accomplices, who have already been charged and are awaiting trial. The police intelligence team played a key role in identifying and apprehending these individuals, who were recognized by the victims.

The suspects are currently in custody, awaiting trial at the Ashaiman Circuit Court.

Following the arrest of the gang leader, the Tema Police Command has issued a stern warning to the public regarding the handling of stolen property. The police specifically cautioned individuals who buy stolen electronics, such as mobile phones, often sold at discounted prices by criminals.

“Receiving stolen goods, including mobile phones, carries legal consequences,” the police statement emphasized.

The Ghana Police Service also expressed gratitude to senior officials for their continued support in combatting crime and ensuring public safety.
