The New Patriotic Party (NPP) has officially released the list of approved voting centres for its flagbearer election, which is set to take place on Saturday, January 31, 2026.
The Presidential Elections Committee (PEC), led by former First Deputy Speaker Joseph Osei-Owusu, shared the comprehensive list, which covers all 16 regions of Ghana. The list has also been communicated to the five presidential aspirants vying for the party's nomination.
In a statement, the PEC expressed gratitude to the candidates, their representatives, and other stakeholders for their cooperation, emphasizing the commitment to ensuring a credible and transparent election process.
As the election date draws nearer, the five flagbearer hopefuls—Kennedy Ohene Agyapong, Kwabena Agyei Agyepong, Dr. Bryan Acheampong, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, and Dr. Yaw Adu Twum—have intensified their campaigns to secure delegate support. With less than a month remaining before the election, each candidate is actively engaging with delegates across the country.
The NPP's expanded electoral college, which was amended in July during the party's National Delegates Conference, includes former constituency, regional, and national executives, former Members of Parliament (MPs), and former Metropolitan, Municipal, and District Chief Executives (MMDCEs). Over 200,000 delegates are expected to vote in person, as the PEC has confirmed that no proxy voting will be allowed.
