Prophet Telvin Sowah Predicts Crucial World Cup Moment for Andre Ayew in Ghana’s 2026 Campaign

A new prophecy concerning Ghana’s preparations for the 2026 FIFA World Cup has thrust Andre Dede Ayew back into national discussion, despite the forward’s uncertain status within the Black Stars setup.

Speaking on Accra-based Okay FM, Prophet Telvin Sowah Adjei claimed that Ayew is destined to play a decisive role in Ghana’s World Cup journey. According to the leader of the Prophetic Life Embassy, the Black Stars’ progress at the tournament will depend on a critical goal scored by the experienced attacker.

“Dede Ayew has one goal that will take Ghana to the next stage,” the prophet stated, warning that leaving the former captain out of the squad could seriously undermine the team’s chances. He described the goal as dramatic and timely, suggesting it would come late in a match and possibly through an unexpected deflection.

Prophet Sowah dismissed concerns about Ayew’s age and recent lack of competitive football, insisting that his experience and timing make him a vital asset. He stressed that Ayew should not be selected merely to sit on the bench, but rather deployed strategically when the moment demands.

“They must ensure Andre Ayew goes to the World Cup. There will be a time he comes on to score the most important goal,” he said, adding that the strike would likely arrive around the 79th minute of play.

The prophecy contrasts with Ayew’s current reality. The 36-year-old has been without a club since leaving French side Le Havre and last appeared for the Black Stars in a friendly match against Uganda in March 2024. His most recent major tournament outing ended in disappointment, with Ghana conceding late goals to Mozambique at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations.

Nevertheless, Ayew remains Ghana’s most capped international, with 120 appearances for the national team. His leadership and history of delivering in high-pressure moments, including at past World Cups, continue to fuel debate about his potential value to the squad.

As head coach Otto Addo weighs his options ahead of the 2026 tournament, Ayew’s possible inclusion remains a subject of intense discussion. With Ghana drawn into a challenging group featuring England, Croatia, and Panama, decisions surrounding experience, form, and squad balance could prove decisive for the Black Stars’ World Cup ambitions.
