Media personality Toke Makinwa is marking this year’s Christmas with extra joy and sentiment, as it is her first holiday season as a mother. She shared a delightful video on Instagram, unveiling the impressive Christmas decorations she set up in honour of her daughter, Yakira, celebrating her very first festive season.
Toke described this Christmas as deeply personal, writing:
“Santa, please stop here for Yakira… Christmas 2025. My first Christmas as a mom, my daughter’s first Christmas. New family tradition unlocked.”
She revealed that she personally decorated her home this year, hoping to recreate the warm family traditions she enjoyed growing up. Toke added that she cannot wait for the day Yaya is old enough to join her in decorating the home.
The media star also shared that she ordered customised ornaments from the moment her daughter was born, and they turned out beautifully. She noted that baby Yakira is especially fascinated by the twinkling Christmas lights and often stares at them in awe.
With a playful tone, she added: “’Tis the season, guys… prepare to be sick of me.”
Just last month, Toke celebrated Yaya turning three months old with adorable photos and reflections on the overwhelming love motherhood has brought her. She welcomed Yakira Eliana in August at the age of 40 and recently dedicated her in a ceremony attended by prominent celebrities.
Her festive video has since captured the admiration of fans who are celebrating this milestone with her.
