In a widely shared video posted to social media, members of Theresah’s family claim that Daddy Lumba took advantage of her support during his early years, only to abandon her once his music career gained momentum.
According to the family, Theresah played a pivotal role in Lumba’s rise, allegedly funding his move to Germany at the start of his career. They say she paid for his travel and gave him spending money—support they believe was instrumental in his eventual success.
"After settling in Germany and benefiting from Theresah’s support, he left her and married Akosua Serwaa," one family member stated in the video.
The Abebrese family is urging the public to scrutinize the timeline—specifically comparing the year Lumba married Akosua Serwaa to the year Theresah eventually married someone else—arguing that the overlap reveals the emotional toll on Theresah caused by his alleged betrayal.
Adding weight to their claims, Mama Acheampong—publicly known as Daddy Lumba’s godmother—confirmed in a radio interview that Theresah’s father had indeed financed the musician’s journey to Germany.
