In a shocking turn of events, a Form 2 student at Atieku Church of Christ Senior High School (SHS) is currently receiving medical treatment after allegedly being assaulted by the school's administrator, Mr. Lee Evans. According to reports, the incident stemmed from a disagreement over a mobile phone.
Sources close to the school, who spoke on condition of anonymity, detailed the events leading up to the assault. Mr. Evans reportedly confiscated a mobile phone from a student and handed it to another for safekeeping. However, when the victim attempted to retrieve the phone on behalf of its rightful owner, the administrator reportedly became enraged.
Eyewitnesses claim that Mr. Evans responded by physically attacking the student. The assault left the victim unconscious, prompting a fellow lecturer from the University of Cape Coast, who was visiting the school, to intervene. Upon learning of the incident, the lecturer assisted in transporting the injured student to a nearby hospital for treatment.
Following the incident, the lecturer promptly reported the matter to the Wassa Ateiku Police Station. In response, the authorities arrested Mr. Lee Evans, and investigations into the assault are ongoing.
