Bryan Acheampong Questions Credibility of Global InfoAnalytics Poll

Dr. Bryan Acheampong has raised concerns over a recent Global InfoAnalytics poll that placed him at just 5% in the New Patriotic Party (NPP) flagbearer race, challenging both the methodology and potential motives behind the survey.

In an interview on *PM Express*, Acheampong flatly rejected the findings, especially the 5% result, and questioned the polling organization's interest in the matter. "What exactly is Global InfoAnalytics’ interest in this poll?" he asked. "Who’s funding them?" he pressed further, suggesting that there may be an agenda behind the numbers.

Acheampong was particularly skeptical about the accuracy of the survey, which ranked him behind former Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia and Kennedy Agyapong. He called the 5% figure "implausible," arguing that it was indicative of a larger agenda at play. "You don’t just conduct a nationwide poll and land on 5%. Something doesn’t add up," he said.

He also pointed out the discrepancy between the survey’s results and his own data from NPP delegates, emphasizing that the party has 209,000 delegates, a far larger sample than the 3,000 individuals Global InfoAnalytics claimed to have surveyed. "If you pull 12 people out of 700 and claim that I’ll only get 5%, that doesn’t make sense," Acheampong added.

The NPP flagbearer hopeful also questioned the consistency of the pollster's findings, particularly regarding Dr. Bawumia’s ratings. According to Acheampong, Bawumia’s poll numbers have been steadily declining, citing figures from May through November showing a drop from 77% to 42%. "If Bawumia’s numbers are falling like this, why would I only have 5%?" he asked, noting the sudden emergence of a large undecided bloc in the poll.

He attributed the discrepancy to fear and intimidation among delegates rather than actual indecision. "There’s a lot of intimidation going on, and people are afraid to openly say they’ll vote for Bryan. They fear backlash from others," he claimed, though he refrained from naming any individuals involved in the alleged intimidation.
