Burna Boy Offers to Cover Funeral Costs for Victims of Stockton Shooting

Nigerian Afrobeats star Burna Boy has generously offered to cover the funeral expenses for the four children tragically killed in the recent mass shooting in Stockton, California.

In a heartfelt statement, the singer expressed his personal sorrow upon hearing the news, which was shared on *The Breakfast Club*. “When I heard about the children murdered in Stockton, my heart broke,” Burna Boy shared. He added that he immediately reached out to figures such as Wack 100 and Jason Lee of Hollywood Unlocked to offer assistance to the grieving families. “No family should ever face this kind of pain alone,” he emphasized.

The city of Stockton has confirmed Burna Boy's offer, with Vice Mayor Jason Lee calling the gesture a testament to the global desire to help those in need, even when there is no personal connection.

The shooting took place on November 29, during a children's birthday party at a banquet hall. In addition to the four fatalities, 11 others were injured. Authorities have indicated that the attack appears to have been targeted, although they have not yet linked it to gang activity. Sheriff Patrick Withrow stated, “We’re confident this was not a random act,” but further investigation is ongoing.

Among the victims identified so far are eight-year-old Maya Lupian and 21-year-old Susano Archuleta. Authorities are offering a $25,000 reward for information leading to an arrest in the case.
