The Ghana Education Service (GES) has directed the immediate interdiction of Mr. Joshua Vidzro, Headmaster of Dzodze-Penyi Senior High School, following allegations of sexual misconduct involving several female students.
The directive, issued on Saturday, December 6, 2025, forms part of measures to ensure the integrity of the ongoing investigation and prevent any potential interference.
As part of the interdiction process, Mr. Vidzro is required to hand over all official duties, responsibilities, records, and school property in his possession to the Municipal Director of Education for Ketu North. He is expected to vacate the school premises on Monday, December 8, 2025, after completing the handover.
Although he has been asked to step aside, Mr. Vidzro must remain available to support the investigation. He is also barred from making any direct or indirect contact with the students involved or any individuals who may serve as witnesses.
The GES clarified that the interdiction is purely administrative and does not imply guilt.
“For the avoidance of doubt, this directive does not constitute a determination or presumption of guilt on your part, but is an administrative measure issued in furtherance of due process and institutional accountability,” the Service stated.
In the interim, the Municipal Director of Education for Ketu North will oversee the management and administration of Dzodze-Penyi SHS until further notice.
The investigation is ongoing.
