A woman has shared a painful story of being deceived by a man she believed was in a serious relationship with her, only to later discover that he was secretly married.
According to her account, she spent seven months caring for an elderly man whom she was told was the man’s sick father. She traveled every weekend, cooked, cleaned, and spent her own money to provide care out of love and commitment.
To her shock, she later learned that the man she had been caring for was not his father but his wife’s father. Additionally, the man allegedly described her to his wife as a paid maid, despite her volunteering selflessly.
Reflecting on the betrayal, she expressed that the experience left her emotionally devastated. She warned others to exercise caution in relationships, particularly with individuals abroad, emphasizing that some people live double lives and may misrepresent their marital status.
She urged individuals to prioritize vigilance and consider forming relationships closer to home to avoid similar experiences.
Her words:
"I carried filth, washed filth, cleaned endlessly, and cooked with my own money for a man I was told was his sick father. I was not desperate; I was simply trying to be a good woman to the man I loved and believed I would marry.
For seven long months, I gave my time, my energy, my weekends, and my heart. I volunteered willingly, traveling every weekend to care for a 'father' he claimed no one else would help. I did it out of love, not obligation.
Then the truth shattered everything. He was married, and the man I cared for was not his father but his wife’s father. While I was sacrificing, he was lying. While I was giving, he was deceiving. He told his wife I was just a maid and that he paid me, despite knowing I spent my own money and gave my heart freely.
That level of deception is hard to comprehend. People who can betray so deeply do not deserve genuine love.
