Ghanaian prophet Sampson Amoateng has received widespread acclaim on social media after a prophecy he made regarding Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro appeared to come true.
On January 3, 2026, U.S. President Donald J. Trump announced that an elite Delta Force operation had successfully captured Maduro and his wife, Cilia Flores, in Caracas. According to reports, the pre-dawn raid resulted in approximately 80 casualties, and both Maduro and Flores were subsequently transported to New York to face trial.
Trump praised the operation, describing it as “a brilliant operation” executed by well-trained personnel, according to The Guardian.
Prophet Amoateng’s Forewarning
Following the news of Maduro’s capture, a prophecy delivered by Prophet Amoateng of the House of Miracle Ministries surfaced online. In a TikTok video posted on January 6, 2025, on the page FA Boateng, the prophet is seen addressing his congregation on December 14, 2025.
In his sermon, Pastor Amoateng warned that Maduro would face capture due to betrayal from within his inner circle. He stated:
"The Venezuelan president, Nicolás Maduro, his end would come in 2026. I see it in the news. I saw three people, and they tied his leg and his neck, and they were pulling him. His downfall will come because of the enemy within."
He further advised his followers to remain cautious of those around them, emphasizing that 2026 would be a year marked by betrayal:
"Can I pray for somebody? This year is the year of the enemy within. Anybody around who wants to destroy you, may God expose them in the name of Jesus. If you see something happening at the top, it is a sign that you should also watch out."
Social Media Reaction
The prophecy quickly circulated across social media platforms, earning Prophet Amoateng praise from Ghanaians who expressed confidence in his spiritual insight.
This is not the first time a Ghanaian man of God’s prophecy about Maduro has gained attention. Apostle Francis Amoako Attah also warned of Maduro’s impending trouble during a December 2025 church service, a few weeks prior to the U.S. military operation.
