“Calculate everything you spent” — Lady tells boyfriend who sponsored her education and career

A woman has reportedly shocked her longtime boyfriend after telling him to calculate all the money he spent supporting her education and career so she could pay him back.

The story was shared on social media by a woman who claimed the man involved was her colleague. According to the post, the man had supported his girlfriend financially for several years, helping her complete her education and eventually secure a job in the banking sector.

Years of financial support

The man explained that his girlfriend had completed her National Diploma (OND) before he stepped in to help her continue her studies at the university. During that period, he reportedly took responsibility for many of her expenses, including school fees and other personal needs.

After she graduated and completed her National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), he also used his connections to help her secure a job at a bank, giving her a stable start to her professional career.

For years, their relationship appeared to be going smoothly. However, the man later began to notice changes in her behaviour. According to him, she started coming home late almost every day.

Whenever he asked where she had been, she often gave brief responses such as “work,” “office matters,” or “nothing serious.”

A shocking response

One evening, she returned home around 9 p.m., prompting him to ask where she was coming from. Instead of a simple explanation, she reportedly reacted angrily.

According to the account, she told him he was “stressing her life” and questioned why he could not allow her to be free.

She then made a statement that left him stunned.

“Is it because you got me this job? Or because you trained me in school? Calculate everything. I will pay you back,” she reportedly said.

The man said he was left speechless by the comment and has struggled to process the conversation since it happened.
