How to Join Ghana’s Security Agencies as Recruitment Begins

The nationwide recruitment exercise for Ghana’s internal security agencies officially begins today, Monday, 17 November 2025, at 12:00 noon with the opening of the Centralised Services E-Recruitment Portal (C-SERP).

According to a public announcement, the portal will remain open until Friday, 19 December 2025. During this one-month period, eligible applicants can submit their applications to join the Ghana Police Service, Ghana Immigration Service, Ghana National Fire Service, and the Ghana Prisons Service.

To begin the process, applicants must purchase a recruitment voucher through one of two approved channels:

  • By dialing the USSD code 71303# on any mobile network, or
  • By visiting any GCB Bank branch nationwide.

The announcement emphasized that applicants must clearly indicate which agency’s voucher they intend to purchase to ensure their applications are correctly directed.

The C-SERP platform was introduced to streamline recruitment into the security services and improve transparency and accessibility. Authorities reaffirmed the government’s commitment to a fair process and cautioned the public against fraudulent individuals posing as intermediaries.

“There are no middlemen in the recruitment selection process. Be vigilant and do not fall prey to any scheme claiming to offer admission slots for a fee. The C-SERP process is free, fair, and open to all qualified Ghanaians,” the statement warned.

This reminder follows ongoing reports of scammers who exploit job seekers by promising placements in state institutions in exchange for money.

Applicants were further warned that providing false information or submitting forged documents may result in immediate disqualification and potential legal action.

All interested and eligible Ghanaians are encouraged to visit the official recruitment portal at cserpgh.com, read the instructions carefully, and ensure they meet the required criteria before submitting their applications.

Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted for the next phase of the screening process.
